It has efficient and amicable personnel who were less then helpful and had to be directed to the duty manager. The setting is stunning and peaceful, close enough to also restaurant, the lake and Northampton, great area.

Used the hotel as our base whilst attending the British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The hotel was geared up to accomodate the race goers, i.e early breakfast, helpful directions and itinararies for the circuit. Loved our room, very comfortable.
There seemed to be a shortage of staff in the bar and restaurant between 7 and 8pm on saturday 9/7/11. Which was a little odd during a busy weekend for the hotel. One area of the restaurant was of a very good standard, the rest seemed a bit like a canteen. The table settings and the chairs were of a very different standard.

The staff were very accommodating nothing was ever to much for them. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable as a wheel chair user found getting around the hotel very easy as staff were always on hand to help. The food in the restaurant was of a very high standard and very recommendable also the views from the window tables were breath taking. We have already booked again for next year and will continue to visit when ever possible. We would like to say a big thank you to daniel'o' brien, snahil the most wonderful waiter ever, Jamie and stacie from the spa for making us feel at home.

I am really struggling to think of anything I could say I liked, apart from leaving the next morning. Hotel was in lovely countryside. Ten Pin bowling facility was good.
Everything apart from location of hotel and ten pin bowling facility; inexperienced staff, dirty rooms, quality of food, it was a good contestant for fawlty towers. Worst hotel in the world I have ever stayed in.

Oh mate, the steaks were an absolute banger, best I've had in ages! The breakfast lady Vicky was a star. Plus, the restaurant's got some cracking views that really set the scene for a fab meal.
My room had a right mess, blood-stained pillow and mouldy velux windows. The shower pressure was more like a drip, and don't get me started on the flimsy sink tap and freezing bathroom radiator. Not grand for a posh stay.

Very friendly staff, nice walks, good food, and very good value for money, and a nice central location in the heart of England.

Free and relaxing atmosphere with pleasant staff good food and service.
Mistake made by reception - newspaper order was booked for only day instead of all 5 days of our stay.

The hotel is located in beautiful surroundings and offers a fine view from the dining area. The room felt dated and lacked proper cooling were great. While the breakfast provided a good selection, I found the dining options to be overpriced. Improvements in room maintenance and dining prices could greatly enhance the overall experience.

The location is very attractive and rooms are large and well appointed. The pool facilities are very pleasant. The terrace area, although rather complicated to reach, has a beautiful view and plenty of seating to enjoy watching the sun set. This has the potential to be a really good hotel.
The design of the hotel meant that south west facing bedrooms were intolerably hot and poorly ventilated. The receptionist's comment that this was to take advantage of the view was unconvincing - we could only see the back of the building. Having to walk through a crowded bar area to reach the restaurant, terrace and spa area was awkward. Junior restaurant staff were poorly trained; I became tired of leaning back so that they could reach across me to pour wine or serve food. When we arrived, the information in the rooms promised '24 hour room service' but we were told we would have to wait until 11 pm for food as the kitchen was not staffed between 9.30 and 11. After some argument, they relented but this was not the welcome I had expected.

Enjoyed our two-night stay with the family, especially the fun we had at the bowling alley and on the golf course. The spa services like massage and sauna were a great way to unwind after a long day. Just a heads up, the breakfast options were a bit limited, but we still left feeling happy and relaxed! 😊
